Hi, Terri Lynne here on behalf of Expert Village.
And in this segment we’re going to be stretching our Torso; our upper body. So there’s two
stretches that we can do that are great for that. The first one, you want to cup your
hands, fingers together. Hands up, extended up; and you?re going to stretch from one side
to the next. And then back up. Going down as far as you can. What this really does is
it stretches your sides. All the muscles down your sides – it?s a great stretch. You want to do about ten on each side, trying
to stretch a little further as you go back and forth every time. The next one- I’m going
to stand sideways for this one. It?s almost like you?re going to do a slight bow, trying
to keep your back as straight as possible. You want your feet slightly wider than your
waist; or hip width apart. And again bow down, with your back as straight as you can. And
you?re going to extend your arms out, and your arms are going to try to stretch as far
as they can forward. And your hips are going to try to pull back; picture someone pulling
your hips this direction. So we’re going to be really elongating the spine. So if you
have any spine issues or joint problems there, it will really help stretch out your spine
area. And again you just want to hold this as long as you can, keeping your arms up high.
Don’t let them drop and look forward if you can. You’ll feel it in your quads as well.
You want to hold that for a good fifteen, twenty counts, if you can. So those are two
great stretches for your upper body and torso here on Expert Village
